This time, the band will perform their landmark debut album, Pampered Menial, in its entirety – a rare opportunity to experience one of rock’s most singular and celebrated recordings live.

For more than fifty years, Pavlov’s Dog, led by the inimitable David Surkamp, have occupied a singular place in rock history. Their 1975 debut, Pampered Menial, defied every expectation, blending progressive rock, folk and theatrical ambition into an album unlike anything before or since. While critics and devoted fans embraced its brilliance, the band’s uncompromising sound proved impossible to categorise, and they gradually drifted from the mainstream into mythology – leaving one of rock’s most extraordinary voices waiting to be rediscovered.
And after half a century of waiting, Australian fans finally have the opportunity to witness one of rock’s most fascinating and influential cult bands perform their landmark debut.
Joining their extraordinary lineup is longtime friend and collaborator Iain Matthews (Fairport Convention, Matthews Southern Comfort). One of Britain’s most revered singer-songwriters, Matthews has spent more than five decades effortlessly weaving together folk, country, rock and Americana into a body of work celebrated for its warmth, honesty and impeccable craftsmanship. From the international success of their hit cover of Joni Mitchell’s, “Woodstock” to an acclaimed catalogue spanning more than fifty years, Matthews remains one of the defining voices of his generation.
