Discover the joy of singing together!

Have you ever thought about joining a choir?

Try a Choir Week is your invitation to give it a go!

From 24–30 August 2026, community choirs across Australia are opening their doors and welcoming new voices. Whether you’ve never sung in a choir before or you’re looking for a new musical home, this is the perfect time to step inside and see what it’s all about.

Find a choir to try in August!

Maybe you’ve always loved singing. Maybe you haven’t sung since school. Maybe you’ve been looking for a new hobby, a way to meet people, or simply something that brings a little more joy into your week.

We’ve built a national map with over 100 community choirs who are welcoming visitors – they include auditioned and un-auditioned community choirs, Men’s, Women’s and mixed voices, contemporary, barbershop and choral – so find a choir near you and experience the power of community singing!

RSVPs are encouraged but not essential. Your seat at choir is waiting for you!

Here’s a note you can send to them:

Hi there! I’m part of a great community choir and I think you’d love it. We’re part of “Try a Choir Week” in the week of 24-30 August. Would you like to come with me and try it out?
