TAGG – The Alternative Gig Guide commenced publishing in Sydney in late 1980.
With a FIFO publisher, Grant Morgan as distribution manager, Nick Dethridge on advertising sales and an exquisite editor, our stalwart gig guide producers….and Stuart Coupe, already a rock journalist in major newspapers, we opened an office at Volta, Glebe Point Road.
TAGG was a much sought-after bible of live music in Sydney from the start due to Stuart’s enthusiasm for opening opportunities for other budding rock journalists and that encouraged many others to offer their gig reviews, images and gig listings.
