Spineless politicians. Microplastics. Falling in love with a tractor. Join musical comedian Nic Davey-Greene in his debut solo show, a genre-smashing, instrument-swapping, night of hysterical original songs. It’s a full frontal onslaught of satire, singalong power ballads, catchy pop tunes, jazzy crooning and an unabashed spattering of inner-city Melbourne’s most sought-after genre – country. Venture into Nic’s sharp and playful world of musical chaos, through the absurd arena of politics, the familiar purgatory of heartbreak, the humiliation of failed threesomes and the ups-and-downs of dating Cameron Diaz.
Nic leaps into his first Melbourne International Comedy Festival for a 12-show season at the Grace Darling Hotel. Don’t miss this opportunity to see an electrifying new force in musical comedy. 8 - 20th April, 6:15pm at The Grace Darling Hotel.

Margaret Atwood's The Penelopiad is an adaptation of Homer's Iliad and Odyssey, told from the perspective of Odysseus' wife Penelope.
Penelope tells her story from the afterlife, from miraculous birth to marriage with the cunning Odysseus. When war erupts over her cousin Helen’s betrayal, Penelope is left to fend off relentless suitors, relying on her loyal maids to survive. But in death, those same maids return, not just to witness her story—but to remind her of the role she played in the tragic ending to theirs.
'Didn't I wait, and wait, and wait, despite the temptation - almost the compulsion - to do otherwise? And yet what have I amounted to (...)? An edifying legend. A stick used to beat other women with.'
