Grace Petrie returns to Australia & Aotearoa for long-awaited 2027 tour

Western Australia | South Australia | Victoria | New South Wales | Queensland | Australian Capital Territory | Auckland | Wellington | Christchurch

Acclaimed UK singer-songwriter Grace Petrie is returning to Australia and Aotearoa in February and March 2027, with a long-awaited tour that reunites one of Britain’s most compelling live performers with the audiences who have embraced her since her first tour here in 2020.

A regular visitor to Australia and Aotearoa over the past decade, Petrie has built a fiercely loyal following through performances that are as funny as they are fearless, combining incisive songwriting with a rare ability to make every audience feel like a community.

The 2027 tour fulfils Petrie’s commitment to return to the audiences who supported her so warmly following this year’s postponement and includes an extensive run of headline performances alongside appearances at some of Australia’s leading folk festivals, with further dates still to be announced.

One of Britain’s most compelling contemporary songwriters, Petrie has earned an international reputation for fearless, intelligent songwriting that combines razor-sharp political observation with warmth, wit and deeply personal storytelling. Whether tackling social justice, love, loss or finding hope in difficult times, her songs have made her one of the defining voices of modern folk music.

Her latest album, Build Something Better, debuted at No. 1 on the UK Official Folk Albums Chart, while her live performances — equal parts stand-up, protest rally and communal singalong — have won devoted audiences around the world.

Following the postponement of her 2026 tour, Petrie said she was deeply moved by the kindness shown by Australian and New Zealand audiences.

“I have always had a special love for Australia and Aotearoa, and the wonderful folks there who have supported me and held me up for years. Thank you for your understanding while I navigate these difficult days.”

The tour will include performances at Nannup Music Festival, Port Fairy Folk Festival, Blue Mountains Music Festival and the National Folk Festival, alongside headline dates throughout Australia and Aotearoa.

Additional dates will be announced in the coming months.
