Indulge your senses in the captivating world of The Avenues as they unveil their latest musical masterpiece, “Office Wear”. In this heartfelt ode to escapism, the Hull-based indie-rock quartet explores the childhood fears of a predictable life and the whimsical hopes of an adult yearning for freedom.

Comprising Tom Foston (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Ollie Brown (lead guitar and backing vocals), Joe Galloway (bass and backing vocals), and Kurt Jackson (drums and backing vocals), The Avenues have been turning heads with their dynamic sound and infectious energy since their inception in late 2018.

While “Office Wear” is a track that exudes a big and hopeful vibe, ultimately, it delves into the monotony of traditional office life and the overwhelming feeling of its all-consuming nature. Tom, the band’s singer and songwriter, shares that the song was born out of childhood fears of growing up in a predictable life, interwoven with the childlike hopes of an adult dreaming of escape.

Tom expresses, “We had tons of fun making this song take off when it needs to!”

The Avenues’ journey includes sold-out shows and sharing stages with acclaimed acts such as Spector, The K’s, and The Royston Club. Their first two EPs marked them as serious ones-to-watch and singles like “Every Morning“, “Admit Nothing” and more lately “Another Movie” elevated their musical prowess.
