Reinvigorate. Recycle. Reimagine.
In 2026, RAGE will proudly present its inaugural Recycled Art Exhibition – a major celebration on the war on waste tapping into the creativity, innovation, and talent thriving in our local communities.
The aim of the event is to showcase artworks that use discarded materials to reimagine their original purpose. Artists are now being invited to unleash their imagination and be part of something extraordinary, with ideas that champion sustainability, ingenuity and resourcefulness.
Created by the local community, RAGE is a project from the Rotary Club of Euroa, and the concept was the brainchild of local artist and Festival Project Manager, Helen Brook. “RAGE was born out of my time spent volunteering at the local op shop. There I’m surrounded by so many discarded objects, beautiful pieces that seem to have no value anymore, yet they still have more to offer and can be seen in a different way. I want to dispel the myth that ‘rubbish’ means waste.”
RAGE won’t be a traditional exhibition. Outdoor sculptural work will be exhibited in the town’s green spaces, and a former garage and community centre will house the textiles, paintings and other artworks. Turning the town centre into a living work of art. Brook adds, “Once I started looking, recycled art was everywhere, and we want to harness the movement here in Euroa and bring more art to the regions.”
RAGE celebrates the power of imagination, or rather, reimagination, where discarded materials are transformed into striking, thought-provoking sculptures. Let these inspiring works create a spark, to shape the unexpected and bring the boldest ideas to life. Where any artist could win a $3000 prize. The winning piece will present balance a clever use of the materials and for it not to be representative of its original form in material or use.
Tess Noonan Egan and Dr Peter Hill are the inaugural RAGE (Recycled Art Group Euroa) Ambassadors. Tess Noonan Egan is a highly respected artist and community leader based in Euroa, Victoria. RAGE encourages artistic excellence and a community that embraces both imagination and environmental stewardship. Join us in 2026 as we reimagine what art can be, and discover new stories born from transformation.
