Laughter Fitness – LINK OF MIND BODY AND FEELINGS

Laughter Fitness sessions enhance the mind and body’s well-being. It is suitable for all ages and abilities, adapting exercises to what you can do. Laughter Fitness activities are deep breathing, stretching, movement with laughing, relaxation, daily tools for mind and physical well being. The outcome from the sessions is a feeling of relaxed happiness, building physical and core strength, increased oxygen, decreased blood pressure, and having fun with a group connection. Laughter Fitness instructor Natalie gets a feeling of reward watching everyone leave with a smile on their face.

How does what you do affect how you feel?

A basic example is looking down versus looking up. If you see someone walking with their head up it is automatically viewed as confidence, feeling good. In the reverse head down is linked to feeling down. The link of posture is only one example of the brain body connection. How many modern tasks affect how we feel from looking down? Mobile phone, laptop to name a couple. Deakin University studied the effects of laughing for dialysis patients at Monash hospital, Melbourne. The link to research information is below. Laughter Fitness techniques can be done at any time, any ability.

Catie Morrison of Doing Defies Depression hosted a Laughter workshop in 2015 to educate people about the organization’s aim of supporting people living with depression to improve their quality of life. An article written by Emily Webb from Waverley Leader  gives more details with the link available below. The group of 50 learnt easy laughter and relaxation activities for daily life.

Laughter Fitness instructor Natalie guides the sounds and actions, the process begins the endorphin release that easily moves the brain into sharing of natural laughing. Laughter Fitness teaches quick highly effective daily tools, taking a small percentage of the day for numerous health benefits, builds emotional intelligence, higher work production and satisfaction.
