Today, the world’s iconic Irish whiskey, Jameson, are celebrating the success of their inaugural Distilled Sounds music program by bringing a month of free music to Australia and New Zealand this March/April. Headlining two exclusive shows in Sydney and Melbourne is ARIA Award winner and Distilled Sounds alumni, Kaiit. If that wasn’t enough, Jameson are throwing a series of side shows across Sydney, Melbourne, BrisbaneWollongongAuckland and Christchurch to showcase the most exciting local talent, guaranteeing an unforgettable experience for every music lover.

On Thursday 20 March, Kaiit will bring the Distilled Sounds world to Sydney’s iconic Mary’s Underground, joined by indie-pop sweethearts Egoism. Then, on Thursday 27 March, the neo-soul powerhouse will take the stage at Melbourne’s The Punters Club, where psych-rock maestros Majak Door will set the tone for a special night.

Kaiit’s remarkable journey has been shaped by powerful early co-signs from icons like Erykah Badu and Jill Scott, quickly establishing her as an international artist to watch. Back home in Australia, her vocal prowess and exceptional songwriting earned her an ARIA Award, the top prize at the Vanda & Young Songwriting Competition and performances supporting SZAThe Internet and Chaka Khan. Last year, Kaiit visited Ireland to collaborate with artists around the world under the mentorship of multi-Grammy award-winner Anderson .Paak for the inaugural Jameson Distilled Sounds experience.This March, she’ll take Distilled Sounds’ celebration of creativity and collaboration on the road, to audiences across Australia.

Entry to Kaiit’s spellbinding shows at Mary’s Underground and The Punters Club is free, and guests who RSVP will be treated to a complimentary Jameson can on arrival – sign up here. Throughout all two nights, Jameson will be offering irresistible drink and food specials, keeping the energy high and the vibes flowing. Alongside the electrifying live performances, each event will feature exclusive whiskey tasting sessions, running from 6:30pm – 8:30pm, offering lucky attendees the chance to savour up to four unique Jameson specialities. These tastings are free, but spaces are limited, so get down early on the night to secure your spot for this one-of-a-kind experience.

Jameson will be kicking off the Distilled Sounds experience with a series of free parties across Wollongong, Brisbane, Auckland and Christchurch, as well as additional events in Sydney and Melbourne, amplifying the best local talent. In Sydney, the action begins on Thursday 6 March, at Donny’s in Manly, where alt-pop trio Loretta will take the stage with their high-energy blend of pop and rock. On Friday 7 March, the tour heads to Howlin’ Wolf in Wollongong, where indie-rock outfit The Slims will bring their electrifying live show to the venue. Then, on Sunday 9 March, local legends LSFAnnie Blue and Roommates will set the vibes at La La La’s in Wollongong. Inspired by ‘90s post-punk, these artists are ready to make a serious impact. Wrapping up NSW’s run of shows is a night at the iconic Ramblin’ Rascal in Sydney on Saturday 15 March, featuring R&B/Soul band Old Skool Funk, delivering a smooth night of grooves.

On Sunday 16 March, Distilled Sounds will be touching down in Brisvegas, with garage-pop legends Velociraptor taking over Alice Bar. Melbourne will also be treated to a series of side shows, launching with a massive show on Friday 7 March at Leonards with Melbourne punk icons Private Function (DJ Set)and Hot Machine (DJ Set). Then, on Friday 14 March, indie-Americana groover Caitlin Harnett (solo)and DJ Sugar Mama will light up Lulie’s with their heartfelt ballads. To close out this run of VIC shows, Afrobeat sensation Nay Nay (DJ set) will headline Section 8 on Friday 21 March.

Distilled Sounds will then hit Auckland and Christchurch, with indie-rock powerhouses Park Rd and Double Parked taking over Grand Central on Friday 14 March. On Saturday 22 MarchMC Randy Sjafrie will bring his infectious energy to Go Media Stadium’s Lilyworld. The MC will be joined by genre-blending producer GAT, legendary duo Fobs2theWorld, deep house juggernaut Warren Duncan (DJ set), Afrobeat / funk outfit Zamalek Live, club magnate Poppa Jax and local icons The Katayanagi Twins. On Saturday 5 AprilEast Street Hall will host Poppa Jax B2B DJ KekeHyan B2B Katana and the Katayanagi Twins for an unforgettable night of infectious beats. Christchurch’s chapter will be written on Saturday 3 May at Dux Central, where Yurt Party and Lunar Intruder will deliver experimental sounds, rounding out the New Zealand leg of the tour.

Launched in August 2024, Jameson’s Distilled Sounds united 20 artists from around the world to write, record, and create new music in Ireland, under the mentorship of multi-Grammy award-winnerAnderson .Paak. With a focus on connection and creativity, the program broke down borders and sparked something truly extraordinary. Now, the Distilled Sounds tour takes that same spirit of collaboration to new heights, furthering Jameson’s mission to celebrate culture, creativity, and community—while bringing together fans with some of the brightest emerging talent from Australia and New Zealand.
