Saturday 7th September – The Lomond Hotel
I always loved Nancy Sinatra’s songs and had a sung a few, & I knew of Lee Hazelwood’s hits but when Stu Thomas invited me to do this show last year I discovered I’d only scraped the surface.
I’m now a bonafide Lee devotee and a Nancy champion.
I’ve become obsessed with his production style, his lyrics and his enigmatic disregard for convention…. and Nancy is a way more impressive musician than her famous boots and hair (which I also adore) led people to believe.
Come and luxuriate in these fantastic songs with Stu and I plus star rhythm section Rosie Westbrook and Phil Collings.
Saturday 7th September 9pm
The Lomond Hotel
225 Nicholson St, Brunswick East.

Here’s a picture of Gena Rowlands the most powerful actress, and peerless film maker John Cassavetes. I wouldn’t be able to describe the impact discovering them had on my young brain, I was so swept away.
Ever since I saw my first Cassavetes / Rowlands film – which happened to be Woman Under The Influence – I’ve returned to their legacy of art, life, love and fearless creation for inspiration, and to remind myself that I don’t have to have a nice tidy life.
Reunited in the afterlife. I love that thought.
