Rebecca Barnard (Rebecca’s Empire) brings her signature honeyed vocals to High Tea Live, celebrating the songs of Joni Mitchell.

Following the breakout success of her band Rebecca’s Empire, the much loved Melbourne songstress has released a number of solo albums. She’s collaborated with countless Australian artists including; Paul Kelly, Tim Rogers, Renee Geyer, Deb Conway, The Meanies, The Audreys, The Fauves, You Am I and more.

Rebecca first heard Joni Mitchell in 1974. The song was ‘Carey’, and it changed her life there and then. She has been a Joni fan ever since. Across Rebecca’s body of work, you’ll find a subtle hint of Joni’s influence. She will be accompanied by fellow Joni fan, Peter Farnan (Pesky Bones), on piano and guitar.

The duo perform their favourite Joni Mitchell songs – spanning each era from her extraordinary career.

After a complimentary glass of Azahara bubbles on arrival, indulge in a three tiered stand of sweet and savoury delights and freshly brewed tea. All while enjoying an intimate set with Melbourne’s very own Rebecca Barnard.
