What inspired the emotional concept behind My Whole Life?
The emotional concept behind My Whole Life was inspired by a period in my life where I met someone very special to me. From the beginning there was this instant connection that just felt natural and real. It was one of those rare moments where the emotions, the atmosphere, and everything around it stayed with me for a long time. I wanted to capture that feeling of meeting someone who feels instantly familiar and how a connection like that can completely change your emotions and perspective.
The song explores instant connection and familiarity, why did you want to tell that story now?
I think because those kinds of instant connections are rare and special in your life. A lot of people have experienced meeting someone who changes their whole mindset without even trying. I wanted to capture that feeling honestly while I was still emotionally close to it.
How would you define the artistic identity you’re building through your music?
I’m building an artistic identity that feels emotionally real and relatable while still staying within the pop genre. I want my music to feel personal, but also something people can truly see themselves in. The biggest goal for me is creating songs where listeners can connect their own emotions, memories, and experiences to the music and almost live their own story through it.
Your sound blends soulful melodies with contemporary pop production. How did that style develop naturally for you?
It happened pretty naturally from the music I grew up listening to. I always connected more with emotional melodies and songs that made you feel something. Over time I started combining that emotional side with pop production and it slowly became my sound. I’ve always been someone who pays a lot of attention to the songwriting itself, the story, the deeper meaning behind the lyrics, and the emotions an artist is trying to express. That’s something I try to bring into my own music as well.
Which artists have had the biggest influence on your approach to songwriting and performance?
I would definitely say artists like Justin Bieber, Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles, and Michael Jackson have always been a huge inspiration to me. What I admire most about them is their ability to combine strong melodies and great songwriting with real emotion and personality. Their music feels timeless because it connects with people on a deeper level while still remaining memorable.
What was the most emotionally challenging part of creating My Whole Life?
The most emotionally challenging part of creating My Whole Life was probably the songwriting process itself. I spent a lot of time writing, rewriting, and making small readjustments because I wanted the emotions behind the song to feel completely genuine. Since the song came from a real experience and real feelings, it was important for me to capture that honestly without losing the emotion or overcomplicating it.
Was there a defining moment where you realised music was what you truly wanted to pursue?
Ever since I was young I always wanted to make music, so there wasn’t really one specific defining moment for me. I just naturally always appreciated music a lot and connected deeply with it emotionally. Over time that passion only grew stronger.
How important is vulnerability to you as an artist in today’s pop landscape?
I think vulnerability and reflective honesty are definitely very important. Almost all the songs I’ve made are connected to different phases and moments in my life. For me, the goal has always been to capture those chapters emotionally and transform them into music people can connect with in their own way.
What do you think makes a pop song emotionally timeless?
I think what makes a pop song emotionally timeless is its relatability and the ability for people to truly connect with the lyrics. True emotions always stay universal. The songs that last are usually the ones people can connect their own memories, feelings, or experiences to, no matter when they hear them.
How involved are you in the visual aesthetics and creative direction surrounding your releases?
I like to take the lead in this because my songs are very personal to me. I enjoy being closely involved in the visual aesthetics and the overall creative direction of the entire process to make sure everything matches the emotion and story behind the music.
What do you want listeners to learn or feel about you through this single?
Through this single I want listeners to feel the emotion behind the music. More than anything, I hope people can connect the song to moments or emotions in their own lives. I think music becomes most powerful when listeners are able to create their own story and memories within a song.
How do personal experiences shape the stories you choose to tell in your music?
Personal experiences play a very important role in the stories I choose to tell through my music. Most of my songs are inspired by different moments, emotions, or phases in my life. I usually write from real feelings and experiences because I think that is what makes music feel relatable to listeners.
What has been the most rewarding part of your journey as an emerging artist so far?
The most rewarding part so far has definitely been seeing people connect with my music. When someone tells me a song reminds them of a moment in their own life or helped them emotionally in some way, that’s probably the best feeling as an artist. It makes all the time and emotion that goes into creating the music feel worth it.
If My Whole Life represents this current chapter of your life, how would you describe that chapter emotionally?
I would describe this chapter emotionally as very reflective, emotional, and inspiring at the same time. It’s a period where I’ve learned a lot about connection, emotions, and appreciating certain moments more deeply. My Whole Life really captures that feeling of experiencing something meaningful that changes your perspective emotionally.
What can fans expect next from you musically and creatively?
Fans can definitely expect more music that continues to feel personal while also evolving creatively. I’ve been spending a lot of time developing new ideas, experimenting more with melodies and songwriting, and pushing myself creatively. I want every release to feel like a natural evolution. I’m currently also working on an EP.
