“I’ve been dreaming of just coming to Australia for so long, so it really blows my mind that I get to play shows there this year. I think it’ll just feel like a weird, ego-trip of a vacation haha — I’m so psyched! I look up to so many Australian artists and musicians, so I can’t wait to see what y’all are drinking in the water! The shows will be so much fun. See you then and get your tickets!!!”

Sloan Struble – the sole creative behind Dayglow – says that his second album Harmony House, which features hit singles ‘Balcony‘, ‘Close To You‘ and ‘Woah Man‘, is a finely calibrated, carefully fussed over expression of encouragement for anyone who needs it.

“Harmony House is about dealing with change and realizing that change is ok, that everything changes and it doesn’t have to be overwhelming,” he said.

Beyond reassurance, the album encourages you to get up and dance with its single ‘Close To You‘ indebted to ’80s anthems about shy feelings of love. Harmony House is a tribute to the general optimism and good vibes of ’80s dance pop, merged with a post Y2K indie pop-rock energy that takes inspiration from some unlikely music icons: Whitney Houston, Patti Labelle and Michael McDonald.

“I want the album to feel like a modern, independent take on a hit 80’s album, yet I also want the album to feel like it was literally found in your dad’s dusty record collection in the attic,” said Struble.

The record follows on from the runaway success achieved by his debut album Fuzzybrain released in 2019, with tracks ‘Hot Rod‘ and ‘Can I Call You Tonight?‘, which is certified Platinum (RIAA). Fuzzybrain proved hugely popular in Australia with over 23 million streams by Aussie fans. Off the back of this release, Dayglow toured America on his Harmony House Tour 2021 – including two sold out shows at LA’s Fonda Theater. With live touring now back in Australia, and a recent new album under his belt, he promises nothing short of creating an atmospheric show for Australian audiences.

‘In a night filled with upbeat music and an acknowledgment by Struble that it felt nice just to be out and about again, Dayglow delivered.’ – The Post

Struble was born and raised in Texas, and wrote the first song he recorded for Harmony House, ‘Medicine,’ while still in his dorm room. At 22, he still writes, produces, records, and mixes all his music himself — in his bedroom, no less. That sort of sturdiness he strives for in his writing makes for timeless music, a quality Harmony House exudes.

Don’t miss Dayglow’s debut Australian shows this July!
