BRUNHILDE TURN UP THE HEAT WITH VISCERAL NEW VIDEO FOR ‘RISING FROM THE ASHES’

German hard rock outfit Brunhilde are not here to play it safe — and their latest music video makes that abundantly clear.

There’s a particular kind of rock band that understands the music video not as promotional afterthought but as extension of identity — a second skin for the song itself. Brunhilde are that kind of band. The German hard rock outfit have always traded in conviction over compromise, and with the visual accompaniment to their new single ‘Rising From The Ashes’, they’ve delivered something that feels genuinely of a piece with the music: bold, uncompromising, and built to be felt rather than simply watched.

Directed and edited by Holger Fichtner of 360 Grad Design Production, the video is a proper production in the truest sense — not a performance clip thrown together on a tight budget, but a considered visual statement with a team behind it to match. DOP Tobias Rupp handles the cinematography, Tim Gotter contributes aerial drone work that lifts the scale of the whole thing, and make-up artist Julia Gotter — who also crafted the custom long dress worn by frontwoman Caro Loy — brings a visual coherence that makes the whole thing land as a unified piece of work. When a video has this level of craft behind it, it shows. This one does.
And then there’s Caro Loy. Brunhilde’s frontwoman has always been the gravitational centre of the band’s live reputation — Bleeding4metal once described her as evoking a “modern and well-rounded version of Wendy O. Williams and the Plasmatics” — and here she commands the frame with exactly the kind of presence that comparison suggests. Fearless, magnetic, and impossible to look away from.

The track itself gives her plenty to work with. ‘Rising From The Ashes’ is Brunhilde at their most immediate — razor-edged riffs, thunderous drums, and a chorus engineered to lodge itself somewhere behind your sternum and refuse to leave. Built around themes of betrayal and resilience, it’s the kind of hard rock song that earns its anthemic qualities rather than simply reaching for them; the defiance feels lived-in rather than performed. SLAM noted that the band’s recent writing has grown “bolder and more willing to take risks”, and on this evidence, that trajectory shows no sign of slowing.

For a band already confirmed to return to Wacken Open Air in 2026 — having previously shared stages with the likes of Dark Tranquillity — ‘Rising From The Ashes’ feels less like a new release and more like a statement of intent. The kind of single that arrives already knowing exactly what it is and where it belongs.
The video is out now. Watch it, then watch it again.

‘Rising From The Ashes’ is out now via all major platforms. Brunhilde tour Germany throughout April and May 2026.
