Tanya-Lee Davies – Feb / March sights and sounds

Popular Reads

Hello my friends, it’s 2024 and that sounds pretty sci fi to me.
Hope you’re all riding the wave. I have shows for you socialites.

This very Sunday the 11th of February – I’ll be with the house band at Stingo Blues from 6.30pm
I’ve leapt at the opportunity to sing songs by my favourite R&B women – Betty Everett, Sugarpie DeSanto, Ruth Brown, Priscilla Bowman, Ann Cole and a swinging blues I’ve borrowed from Aretha are in my set.

Yorkshire Stingo Hotel  – 48 Hoddle St, Abbotsford

Thursday 7 March – At last I’m screening the moody, swampy (literally) dreamy video clip for my song SAME SPELL made by Georgina Durham. The original release date was hijacked but this luscious 3 minute cine feast is now ready for your consumption. I’ll be doing a set with Catherine McQuade and Amy Valent Curlis post our viewing. We have a special guests on tap.

The Merri Creek Tavern  111 High St, Abbotsford   8pm.

Sunday 10 March – International Women’s Day – Beyond Just Blues celebration is on featuring a cast of a thousand femme’s singing and playing roots music including Kaliopi & The Blues Messengers who is the engineer of this extravaganza.

The Central Club 293 Swan St, Richmond   3-6pm

Saturday 23 March – my fabulous friends in Opelousas are launching their fabulous new album and have asked me to kill you softly before they storm St Kilda. I’ve got 35 minutes to woo you and I’ve enlisted Gerard Rowan on pedal steel to join me in my mission.
