There’s an unhurried warmth to ‘Flow River Flow’, the latest offering from London-born folk artist Seth Tabatznik. Released via Moth Music (Mother Of The Heart), the track opens the door to a forthcoming third album, building on the earthy, introspective qualities that have become central to his growing body of work. Softly textured and quietly immersive, it finds Tabatznik allowing melody, atmosphere and emotion to unfold at their own pace.
Built around softly strummed acoustic guitar and Tabatznik’s warm, tender vocal delivery, ‘Flow River Flow’ begins with an understated intimacy. Rather than rushing towards its destination, the track gradually gathers momentum, allowing each layer to settle naturally into place. Swelling pads and relaxed percussion eventually broaden the arrangement, giving the song an immersive quality without disturbing its organic core.
That sense of authenticity has already begun to resonate. Following his sophomore album Awakening Embers and support from tastemakers including CLASH and EARMILK, Tabatznik is steadily building momentum around a sound that feels both timeless and distinctly his own. His live shows have similarly translated that intimacy to the stage, with sold-out performances in both Cape Town and London.
‘Flow River Flow’ ultimately succeeds through restraint. It doesn’t need grand gestures to make an impression; instead, it allows its warmth, melody and atmosphere to gradually draw the listener closer. For an artist still relatively early in his recording journey, Tabatznik is already demonstrating a clear understanding of how much can be said through simplicity, and this latest offering suggests his forthcoming third album could take that philosophy even further.
