Regional and rural families with children receiving medical treatment in Perth, staying at Ronald McDonald House WA, were treated to an early look at the showbags on offer at the 2026 Perth Royal Show, as some of this year’s most anticipated showbags were revealed at a special family fun day.
Hosted by the Royal Agricultural Society of WA and Ronald McDonald House WA, the event brought the colour, excitement and joy of the Show to families through rides, games, entertainment, cuddly animals and delicious Show food.
Made possible with the support of Lotterywest, the event has become a special tradition for both organisations, providing a memorable day and some much-needed respite for families who have travelled considerable distances from regional and remote Western Australia so their child can access vital medical treatment. For more than 30 years, Ronald McDonald House has helped keep these families together and close to the crucial care they need.
This year’s showbag collection features more than 360 bags, including 130 new and reimagined options, spanning confectionery favourites, much-loved characters, sporting teams, nostalgic pop-culture icons and some of the biggest emerging trends.
Highlights of the 2026 showbag line-up include:
- Almost 60 showbags are under $10, with another 40 being $20 or under.
- Capybaras remain as popular as ever, with the animal kingdom’s largest and most adorable rodent warranting its very own dedicated showbag.
- There are plenty of options for anime and Sanrio fans, including Pokemon, One Piece, Hello Kitty and all of her friends.
- Cartoon canines reign supreme with Bluey and Bingo, plus PAW Patrol, with the pups from PAW Patrol pupping up at the Show to meet their biggest fans.
- There’s a heavy dose of nostalgia for adult Showgoers, with bags celebrating the 90s sitcom Friends, Jaws, The Beatles’ Yellow Submarine and Blondie.
- Bertie Beetle is back with bags starting at just $5 for the Bertie Beetle Blue Bag.
- Other great-value confectionery options include the Little Ripper bag for $5, with popular Trolli, Zappo, Nerds, Pollywaffle and Curly-Wurly bags returning.
- There is something for the sports lovers from every AFL team as finals fever takes hold, to the English Premier League and the NBA.
- For something local, the delicious selection of bags from the iconic Morish Nuts are not-to-be-missed.
Thanks to the State Government, Showgoers can also collect one of 10,000 complimentary Yellow Brick Road ag-venture bags. Bags can be reserved when purchasing tickets online, with a limited allocation also released each day of the Show.
