beStella invites you to attend Shining Bright with Jane Bunn, a high tea event at the Bendigo Town Hall on Saturday November 19 from 1pm to 4pm.

Gather your girlfriends together for an afternoon of inspiration and hear about Jane’s successful journey to becoming a meteorologist and television weather presenter.

Jane is a familiar face in regional Victoria having presented the highs and lows of weather on the WIN Network before joining Seven News Melbourne in 2014.

Over a glass of bubbles and afternoon tea, Jane will discuss finding her feet in a typically male-dominated field, developing a career in the spotlight, overcoming barriers, making the most of opportunities as they are presented, and the women she looked to for advice along the way.

beStella founder Kendyl Hopley said the high tea event would provide an insight into Jane’s path to success.

“The main focus of the beStella blog is to celebrate the achievements of women and share their stories in the hope that it will challenge, inspire and encourage others,” Kendyl said.

“Jane has an incredible career and there is much we can learn from her. She was one of nine people chosen to undertake the Bureau of Meteorology’s competitive Graduate Diploma of Meteorology, her career has taken her overseas, into lounge rooms across regional Victoria and now throughout the state.

“She is also a weather consultant and supports the agricultural sector to maximise their crop yields, as well as the Country Fire Authority and the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning.

“Jane is someone to be admired. No doubt she has encountered and overcome challenges along the way but she has courageously followed her passion for weather and carved out a successful career.

“beStella is very much looking forward to hosting the vibrant and talented Jane Bunn and welcoming central Victorian women to this wonderful event.”

beStella business partner Alicia O’Brien said the event was a great opportunity for businesses, families and friends to kick-off Christmas celebrations.

“Why not treat your clients to an early Christmas ‘thank you’ for their support throughout 2016 by bringing them along to this inspirational event, or get your girlfriends together before the silly season kicks in,” Alicia said.

“As part of the event, beStella is again supporting the Susan’s Wardrobe clothes drive and asks attendees to bring any unwanted items for donation to be given to women preparing for job interviews or re-entering the workforce.
