Frontier Comedy is thrilled to announce our first round of shows for the 2019 Sydney and Perth Comedy Festivals!

We have something for everyone, with very different shows from four incredible comedians.

Award-winning British comedian and best-selling author Jeff Green; stand-up comedy and social media megastars Alex Williamson and Neel Kolhatkar; and comedian, writer and podcaster Alice Fraser are all bringing brand new shows to Australian comedy festivals in 2019.

ALEX WILLIAMSON SIN ON MY FACE

MAY 2019

Presented by Frontier Comedy

frontier comedy announces more 5-star aussie & international comedians for sydney & perth comedy festivals

The Victorian era is long gone, but to think people once suppressed their ‘inner sick-f*ck’ is a point of fascination for this comedian.

After sold-out Australian & NZ festival seasons last year before heading over to spend another Edinburgh Fringe working tirelessly to give Aussies an even worse reputation overseas, Alex Williamson is back to wholeheartedly embrace his inner sick-f*ck in a brand new hour.

With over 2.5 million social media followers, this comedy juggernaut is steaming through shows like a deranged Thomas The Tank Engine.

Embrace your own inner sick-f*ck and let ‘Shooter’ sin on your face. Best book early!

“laidback, punchy, charismatic, fearless and provocative – everything you would expect from a man with 500 million online views. I hope he never mellows” The Scotsman (UK)

★★★★★ “hilarious… a tour de force” The Speakeasy (NZ)

ALICE FRASER MYTHOS

frontier comedy announces more 5-star aussie & international comedians for sydney & perth comedy festivals

MAY 2019

Presented by Frontier Comedy

Insatiable academic Alice Fraser is a word geek, polymath and ex-corporate lawyer. She studied law at Sydney Uni and English Literature (Rhetoric) at Cambridge before working as a lawyer in New York City.  When she found herself spending more time writing jokes than litigation; Alice realised that the funny stuff was far more exciting to her than the legal stuff.

Alice has taken her passion for comedy, writing and performing around the world – with sold-out shows from Edinburgh to London, New York to Cambridge and many places in between. Critical comparisons to Daniel Kitson and her brilliant guest spots on British comedy podcast The Bugle (hosted by Andy Zaltzman) have earned her a ferocious cult following.

In her new comedic masterpiece Mythos, Alice takes on the stories and lies that we tell ourselves about ourselves. Is beauty truth? Is truth beautiful? What does anything mean anymore? Let Alice tell you. Why not.

★★★★★ “Brilliant. Any subject is up for grabs from binary code to googly eyes to Ancestry.com to sock puns to RuPaul’s Drag Race, and it all ties together somehow” Edinburgh Guide (UK)

“A world-class entertainer … an incredibly fascinating and enjoyably weird piece of theatre” The Music

JEFF GREEN

LETTERS HOME

frontier comedy announces more 5-star aussie & international comedians for sydney & perth comedy festivals

MAY 2019

Presented by Frontier Comedy

More than “just” award-winning UK comedian Jeff Green’s trademark rapid-fire stand-up, Letters Home is a series of warm, funny monologues.

From 1947-82, over a million ‘10 quid poms’ moved to Australia in the Ten Pound Assisted Passage scheme. They kept in touch via requests to BBC Radio’s ‘Two-Way Family Favourites’, and with most of the UK, each Sunday Jeff’s family were glued to the radio. In homage to these souls and his own experience, Letters Home will be 10 ‘letters’ to Jeff’s family back home.

He celebrated his 30th year in stand-up last year, collecting accolades and selling out shows in the UK & Oz- don’t miss this unique new show from one of Britain’s most enduring, and endearing, comedy talents.
