Marlborough $35.00
Well, the name is one hell of a mouth full, so let’s get to the wine.
I found the wine to be elegant enough with tight oak in the background and a warming green apple lift, on the nose and plate.
However, I still feel the wine needs a few more years to develop and show itself.
As I found the wine to be a little restrained even at 3 years of bottle age.
The wine filled out well enough with its clean, pristine and pleasing acid and fruit flavours.
However, for me, the wine had some weight but didn’t have the impact I was expecting.
I found it to be rather clean, linear and in need of a year or two to further develop.
At this stage, I think it’s still too young.
Don’t take this out of context it’s a good wine.
Myself I believe it to be too young at this stage and would benefit from 2 more years in the cellar.
the Rot has set in.
