Love Is A Dog, sings Emily Lubitz. With a voice that places her among the most compassionate of today’s folk singers. A natural talent. A gift.” – Leipziger Internet Zeitung

After swaying crowds all over Europe supporting The Cat Empire, Melbourne indie-folk trio Tinpan Orange have arrived back on our shores bearing arms full of good news. The critically acclaimed trio, which features siblings Emily and Jesse Lubitz, along with Alex Burkoy, have announced teaming up with local booking agency Select Music in Australia which coincides with a brand new run of shows both locally and abroad, and have also unveiled a brand new melancholic single, ‘See You In The Water’.

The news comes after an intense few months of touring in which the outfit notched up 17 packed out shows across Germany, France and Spain. European audiences have clearly warmed to the Melbourne locals, with latest album Love Is A Dog fetching rave reviews across Europe, signalling the need for their imminent return. With such a demand for the
group’s live presence abroad, it only made sense to key in even more dates – this time walking to their own beat and performing their own headline tour. The trio will return to Europe in February to reunite with their northern fans at dates across Germany and France.

Australian fans fear not – Tinpan Orange will play a string headline shows either side of their European headline adventure, undoubtedly blessing audiences with brand new single ‘See You In The Water’.

The single entices listeners instantly with an obscure, yet effective, mingling of 808-style percussion and enchanting folk chord progression.  From here, the angelic and airy vocals of Emily Lubitz grabs you by the hand and walks you through an array of soothing vocal lines, combined cleverly with the silky violin phrases of Burkoy.

See You In The Water’ truly encompasses the aura surrounding the group and indisputably sums up their emotive folk prowess. Tinpan Orange’s wings undeniably are spreading further each day.
