Swiss shoegaze trio Zabriskie return with the announcement of their forthcoming EP Ghosts In Time, alongside the release of its lead single “Stone Temple”, a sweeping, atmospheric track that further sharpens their position within Europe’s contemporary shoegaze resurgence.
Built around the longstanding creative partnership of vocalist and guitarist Alex Herter and bassist Andreas Vischer, later joined by drummer Andy Hofstetter, Zabriskie have steadily refined a sound that blends shoegaze density with dream-pop fluidity and indie rock dynamics. Their recent run of singles, “South Pacific,” “Once,” and “What Have I Done”, has steadily expanded the scope of their songwriting, hinting at a more cinematic and introspective direction that now comes into focus on Ghosts In Time.
“Stone Temple” captures this evolution in full, unfolding through layered guitars, reverb-heavy textures, and understated melodic lines that prioritise atmosphere over immediacy. Rather than leaning into distortion as force, the track uses it as texture, building a slow-burning emotional charge that feels immersive rather than overwhelming.
