Power pop rock trio Sour Ops are thrilled to announce the release of their latest album, ‘Evangeline’, a contemporary masterpiece that blends energetic riffs, coolly cynical lyrics, and infectious melodies. Led by the multifaceted Price Harrison – a guitarist, singer, songwriter, producer, architect, photographer, and graphic designer – Sour Ops continues to push the boundaries of their unique “post-power pop” sound.

Since their inception, Sour Ops has captivated listeners with their dynamic music and relentless creativity. Their 2018 debut album, ‘Family Circuit’, established their signature style, and they have since released a series of thrilling singles and albums that showcase their versatility. Notably, the band has maintained a steady stream of releases throughout the pandemic, providing much-needed musical solace to their growing fanbase.

‘Evangeline’ marks a significant milestone for Sour Ops. Recorded at their home studio, Silver Space, in Nashville, this album is a testament to the band’s refined pop rock prowess. With Harrison at the helm as both producer and visionary, and mixed by Melissa Mattey, ‘Evangeline’ is a spine-tingling collection of songs that draw from the rich traditions of 60s garage pop, while infusing a modern twist that resonates with contemporary audiences.

Lead single and album titled ‘Evangeline’ is a refined and polished breadth of pop rock finesse. It encapsulates the essence of Sour Ops’ sound: heavy guitar foundations, energetic chord progressions which are reminiscent of legendary pop rockers The Hives in this track, and production quirks that keep listeners engaged and eager for more. Fans of Oasis, The Kinks, and all genres in between will find something to love in this diverse and dynamic track.

Harrison’s vision for Sour Ops is clear, and ‘Evangeline’ is a euphoric journey through the realms of pop and rock, characterised by its compelling riffs and polished production. The album is set to propel Sour Ops even further, and is the perfect antidote for all lovers of pop, rock, and everything in
