Silver K Gallery is delighted to present “The Art of Walt Disney and Harry Potter” the largest exhibition of  Walt Disney and Harry Potter art ever presented in Australia. The show has taken over 18months to curate and art has been sourced from all over the world. With over 200 pieces on display this stunning show will take visitors on a journey through the life and

times of the famed Walt Disney Studios and the extraordinary stories that are Harry Potter.

 

THE WALT DISNEY COLLECTION

No one understood the heart and soul of animation more than Walt Disney.  Through the artistry of his imagination, animation has found a special place in our hearts. From Mickey Mouse’s debut appearance in Steam Boat Willie In 1928,Walt Disney’s creations have bought laughter and joy to millions of people around the world.

From the timeless Snow White and Fantasia to the modern day classics of Little Mermaid, Lion King and Frozen this exhibition presents something for everyone. Tinkerbell, Pinocchio, Lady and the Tramp, 101 Dalmatians, Dumbo, Bambi, Winnie the Pooh,

Donald Duck and many, many more will take you on a magical journey. The exhibition includes original production cels, limited edition cels,

sericels, posters, model sheets and a collection of stunning vintage art.

THE HARRY POTTER COLLECTION.

Over 18 years ago, world renowned writer J.K. Rowling created the world of Harry Potter, capturing the imagination of millions of children and adults. Since then, followers of “The Boy Who Lived” have seen him grow up through a seven book series that takes place in a magical world of Castles, Creatures, Witches and Wizards. Silver K Gallery is delighted to present a beautiful collection of Harry Potter art works based on this all-time classic series.

The works of two main artists are featured.

MARY GRANDPRE

Mary Grandpre has created the original artwork that appears on the cover of the Harry Potter book series and the beginning of each chapter. A beautiful collection of art works from this famous artists art presented as part of this wonderful exhibition. Each print is signed and numbered by the artist.

STUART CRAIG

To bring this deeply imaginative story to the movie screen, Warner Bros and the Harry Potter series producer, David Heyman enlisted an outstanding team of filmmakers including award winning production designer Stuart Craig. Craig feels that the filmmaking process is about giving the audience images and eliminating anything that gets in the way of people understanding and following the story, The result of his meticulous study of the world Rowling created is a series of stunning production designs rendered under his direction by top illustrators such as Andrew Williams. Each print is signed and numbered by the artist.

 

This exhibition is  a must for any Walt Disney or Harry Potter fan. Each remarkable piece of artwork in this stunning show

captures a moment of film fantasy, humour or adventure – truly “Timeless Memories”.

“Timeless Memories” is now showing at the Silver K Gallery and will run through until Sunday March 19th.

Mick Pacholli

Mick created TAGG - The Alternative Gig Guide in 1979 with Helmut Katterl, the world's first real Street Magazine. He had been involved with his fathers publishing business, Toorak Times and associated publications since 1972.  Mick was also involved in Melbourne's music scene for a number of years opening venues, discovering and managing bands and providing information and support for the industry. Mick has also created a number of local festivals and is involved in not for profit and supporting local charities.
