Rising avant-garde artist, producer, and performer LAMIA continues her ascent through the experimental electronic realm with the release of her new single “Angel”, via AWAL. Taken from her upcoming album Nighthawks (out spring 2026), the track is a euphoric and emotionally charged odyssey, fusing ambient serenity, deconstructed club rhythms, and post-trance atmospherics into a sound that feels both otherworldly and deeply human.
Crafted in the Electronic Music Studios at Goldsmiths, University of London, Angel was written, recorded, and produced entirely by LAMIA during a particularly challenging London winter. The result is a track that feels like an emergence from darkness, a moment of transcendence captured in sound. “Creating Angel was like a light that appeared and guided me through the darkness,” she shares. “Mark Fisher’s concept of hauntology also inspired me to feel music as empty space that gives you chills. Angel is very special to me.”
Following the success of her previous single “Cobra”, whose striking music video won Best Music Video at the Berlin Kiez Film Festival, Angel expands her sonic universe. With its soaring crescendos, spectral vocals, and pulsating undercurrents, the track embodies duality: it’s both futuristic and timeless, vulnerable yet powerful.
