The 2019 vintage is a blend of 6 grape varieties, 60% Viognier, 15% Roussanne, 10% Marsanne, 8% Clairette, 5% Bourboulenc and 2% Grenache Blanc. 

60% Viognier is the leading grape in this blend, giving the aromas of small white flowers, with tempting and attractive hints of ripe apricots. 

I found this wine to be light on the plate and rich in the mouth. Not dissimilar to a Chardonnay and could easily replace a Chardonnay in all honesty. With any white meat including lighter-flavoured fish dishes.                 

I have drunk this wine many times before and have found it to be consistently reliable from vintage to vintage, however, because of the high Viognier content I have found it will handle a couple of years in the cellar and develop a little more depth of flavour.

 I did plan a simple meal around this bottle of wine. Oven-roasted chicken breast stuffed with Camembert cheese and pistachio nuts served with game chips.

An honest, reliable wine that won’t let you down or break the bank.
