Melbourne International Comedy Festival arrives in Common Rooms tonight! Our festival friends are running rooms all over Trades Hall, so consider it a one-stop shop for a big comedy-night-out in Carlton (plus our Loading Dock bar has got your pre-and post show bevvies covered). Rediscover some familiar Fringe faces like Aurelia St ClairAndrew HansenGeraldine QuinnAiden Willcox & Isaac Haigh and Impromptunes, all under one heritage-listed roof. Check out everything that’s on at Trades Hall, and we’ll see you there (we’ll be the ones pouring said bevvies).

Experimental at State Library Victoria

Check out Experimental, a series of weekly intimate performances from Fringe icons happening inside The Rest is Up to You, our very sexy Melbourne Fringe exhibition at State Library Victoria. After a sold-out March season, tickets to April’s program are now live. Places are limited, so book early to avoid seething disappointment.

The Rest Is Up To You

Discover Melbourne Fringe’s whopping 40-year legacy at this interactive exhibition at State Library Victoria. Be immersed in a beautifully designed sound and video installation filled with a cacophony of voices telling tales from Fringe’s past and present. Opened as part of our 40th B’day celebrations in 2022, you can still join us for this once-in-a-generation trip through the last 40 years of Fringe history so that we can start dreaming up the next 40.

Mick Pacholli

Mick created TAGG - The Alternative Gig Guide in 1979 with Helmut Katterl, the world's first real Street Magazine. He had been involved with his fathers publishing business, Toorak Times and associated publications since 1972.  Mick was also involved in Melbourne's music scene for a number of years opening venues, discovering and managing bands and providing information and support for the industry. Mick has also created a number of local festivals and is involved in not for profit and supporting local charities.
