Clare Bowditch

First Melbourne Show for 2016

Australia Day Eve – MEMO Music Hall

ARIA Award-winning singer-songwriter, Clare Bowditch will perform her first show for 2016 at MEMO Music Hall Monday 25 January– a kick start to Australia Day celebrations the next day. It will be a big day for Clare, performing on the same night as her first shift as the new Afternoons presenter on 774 ABC Melbourne.

Clare’s performance will be fresh from the recording studio where she is currently writing and recording her eighth album, whittling down the 150 songs she has written since 2012’s “The Winter I Chose Happiness”.

The multi-talented Clare is also an actor (she played Rosanna Harding on Channel 10’s hit show “Offspring”), speaker, writer and creative-business mentor. She’s had Top Ten albums, been named Rolling Stone Woman of the Year (Contribution to Culture), Yen Young Woman of the Year (Music), co-written with Gotye, toured with Leonard Cohen, written for Harper’s Bazaar and the Drum, and played in every venue, festival and truck stop in Australia at least two hundred times each.

In 2013, Clare launched Big Hearted Business, a new enterprise designed to teach creative people about business, and business people about creativity, in ways that make sense. Check out http://www.bigheartedbusiness.com.au for some truly inspiring interviews with Australia’s artistic and business greats.
