Bubble Guns Save Lives, Dayna Fallon Spills Ahead of Her Melbourne Fringe Season of The Manager Is Me

Melbourne Fringe Festival is now in full swing and we got to have a chat with Dayna Fallon who is performing her show, The Manager is Me from 8 October at The Motley Wherehaus. Dayna reveals her post fringe plans and spoilers for the show, keep reading to find out more…

If your show was an animal, what animal would it be?
A hyena!

What are your plans post Melbourne Fringe?
Sleep! Take my kids out for some quality time with moma who has been very busy, and probably too quickly move on to a tour or a new creative adventure. I am into this japanese concept of a misogi – choosing a challenge each year that pushes your limits and I am already contemplating m 2027 challenge.

If The Manager Is Me had a soundtrack, what hit songs would it be associated with?
Paris Paloma Labour, Dolly Parton’s 9 to 5

What’s one show you recommend other than your own at Melbourne Fringe Festival?
Doomscroller and Katrina Mathers’ Anything But The Dyson and Other Excellent Monologues. It’s about womanhood, menopause and a deeply overrated vacuum cleaner, so I feel we’re operating in a similar domestic emergency zone.

What’s a spoiler for The Manager Is Me that won’t make sense until you see the show?
Bubble guns can save lives.

Where and when is the show happening, and where can we get tickets?
The Manager Is Me is at The Motley Wherehaus’s Salon on 8–10 and 15–17 October. Shows are at 6 pm, with an additional 3 pm performance on Saturday 17 October. Tickets are $35 full price or $28 concession at Melbourne Fringe.
