Brighton indie-alternative rockers Miler return with their haunting new single ‘Betty’, the first taste of their forthcoming EP Your Best, due December 11th, 2026.
Led by Hastings-born songwriter and vocalist Calista Morgan, Miler blend confessional indie, hazy shoegaze, ’90s grunge and soaring rock dynamics, creating music that moves effortlessly between intimacy and intensity.
‘Betty’ is their most personal release yet. Written about the final conversation Morgan had with a close friend before her death, the track explores grief, memory, warning and self-reflection.
“‘Betty’ is about the last conversation I had with a friend before she died, in which she told me to think carefully about my life and what path I was on, before I ended up on a path like hers.”
Produced by Jamie Biles and recorded between Brighton and Hook Studios in Oxfordshire, ‘Betty’ builds from stripped-back beginnings into a powerful climax of gritty guitars, driving drums and Morgan’s soaring vocals.
The single offers a first glimpse into Your Best, an EP shaped by grief, anger and the mental and physical consequences of difficult experiences.
Miler will continue their run of live dates this autumn, including support slots with Kytes and Soot Sprite, as well as an appearance at Compass Festival in Folkestone.
