the wayward woman celebrates the creation and release of her first album - automatic punk

The Wayward Woman (Melynda von Wayward) has just finished creating her first album titled Automatic Punk
.
This punk-inspired album has been a long time in the making as many of the songs were written in the mid-1990s and are only being released for the first time.

With titles like ‘Anne’, ‘Buy me a Beer’, ‘That Boy Over There Likes You’, ‘Is AnyoneSitting in That Chair?’, ‘Nicotine Stains’ and the title song ‘Automatic Punk’, every song has the potential to be a HIT on its own.

With a punchy, poppy, post-punk feel , this synth-punk album is just under 20 minutes in length and consists of 14 tracks, including a bonus track – with the longest song playing at 2.22.

This album is a total DIY experience. Each song was created synthetically by The WaywardWoman using an iPad and Garage Band and was recorded in her living room on a RODEmicrophone and mixed and mastered on her computer using a combination of the programs ‘Soundtrap’ and ‘Bandlab’.

Additional lyrics are by Kylie Greer and backing vocals are by the legendary Deathpunk
singer Paula Damnzal (Velvet Hammer, Küntsquäd ), punk stalwart and crust punk singer
Bucky (Warpspasm, Y Not), Delwyn Innes (Y Not) and Kylie Greer.

The album is available as a digital download on Bandcamp for $15 (or more).

A CD will be made available in the future. Watch this space for more upcoming albums
from The Wayward Woman.
