Just announced

Gareth Skinner‘s signing to Kasumuen Records for his debut band album: ‘Off // Axis‘.
The album’s taster track features Joel Silbersher (Hoss / GOD), listen here.

Release date: Friday 2nd February

Pre-orders from Boxing Day, Tuesday 26th December accompanied by a debut video single coming! – also available for a premier.

Gareth is renowned for playing integral roles in some of the 90s most ‘out there’ acts in Bzark and The Ergot Derivative as well as being a go-to guest musician for ARIA topping albums by Powderfinger, Bertie Blackman, Something For Kate, Gotye, Wagons and many more.

In recent years as well as being a full-time member of The Sand Pebbles, Gareth Skinner has been developing his own music. The result is this debut band album, Off // Axis, a record that cleverly crosses from elevated, grunge to Arthur Russell-esque haunting pop.

From a very wide choice of musicians, Gareth has hand-picked a crème of Melbourne musicians to form this band – Ben Michael X (The Sand Pebbles), Suzie Lou and Drew Caldwell (Disaster Plan / Breather Hole), Joel Silbersher and Sarah Blaby (Double Vanity) as a member of the live band.

“Off // Axis” will be released as a limited edition of 200, blended colour vinyl LPs with hand-screen printed covers.
