Music is supposed to transcend and go beyond just the sonics you hear, and that is exactly what Northampton based artist Maddox Jones aims to do. Released and released in support of Mental Health Awareness Week, his new single ‘We All Need Somebody’ is a beautifully written and presented pop song that hits that vulnerable chord that everyone needs to hear.
The track delivers the simple yet very important message of letting someone know you’re there for them when they’re struggling with their mental health or whatever troubles may be thrown their way. Mixed by Michael Brauer (Coldplay), and mastered by Joe LaPorta (Miley Cyrus) “We All Need Somebody” is an anthem to remind each-other that we are not in this alone and that the first step towards making a positive change can be talking about it with someone.
Reminiscent of Coldplay, Jones has a way with words and melodies, with a soulful underbelly that is so sumptuous and meticulously crafted. Luscious and heartwarming throughout, this song is a must listen if you’re struggling and need a song to latch onto. There’s no doubt that Maddox Jones is making his way to the top, with ‘We All Need Somebody’ being another lovely step towards it.
