Jody Bigfoot and John Dole

After a first album released during the pandemic, Jody Bigfoot continued to work on various projects and is now ready to release a multi-genre EP in 2023.

The first track is a collaboration with John Dole, known for his unique style and intricate sound design. The opening track, “Brush Strokes,” is a poetic journey through the process of making art and the scars left by artistic friends who met an untimely end. Jody touches on how ADHD and trauma led him to use art and ganja as a distraction, and encourages all forms of art, especially those of a radical nature, to move forward with power.

The second track, “Brkn,” acknowledges that everyone has their own scars, traumas, and dysfunctions, and that the world is heavily broken. Jody encourages people to ponder on the potential to perceive the connections and troubles we all share in this fractured society.

The final track, “NE1,” is Jody’s first diss track, where he cuts through the inflated ego of some of the north east scene and reminds people that true success is being listened to outside of the small area. He declares Stig of the Dump the king of geordie rap and showcases his own talents in wordplay.

“Brush Strokes” was released on 7th April 2023 and the EP will follow in just a few days on 21st April.
