JMQ Jazz Ensemble is delighted to present Hobart-based jazz songstress, NADIRA FARID,( only briefly in town) who has an exquisite voice and presence and is one of Tasmania’s premier Jazz artists – this Thursday, OCT 6, 2022 at 7pm at the Golden Gate Hotel, alongside Tony Hicks, Michael Harding, Phil Rex, David Hicks + John Montesante. 
 
We previously billed Margaret Morrison, but she is getting over throat issues and highly recommended Nadira to us, who is visiting Melbourne for just 3 days.  So don’t miss this rare treat!  All are welcome and we’d love you will come out to support this fine singer.

Mick created TAGG - The Alternative Gig Guide in 1979 with Helmut Katterl, the world's first real Street Magazine. He had been involved with his fathers publishing business, Toorak Times and associated publications since 1972.  Mick was also involved in Melbourne's music scene for a number of years opening venues, discovering and managing bands and providing information and support for the industry. Mick has also created a number of local festivals and is involved in not for profit and supporting local charities.
