We are thrilled to announce the return of the incredible jazz vocalist, Jackie Bornstein, who will grace our stage this Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 7 pm. Joining her is the extraordinary guest tenor-saxophonist, Aaron Michael, along with our talented ensemble: Tony Floyd on drums, Michael Harding on piano, Kim May on double bass, and John Montesante on trumpet.

Renowned for her powerful energy and remarkable interpretation of every tune, Jackie has developed a unique style that encompasses a wide range of vocal timbres. With over two decades of experience performing in jazz venues across Australia and abroad, she has mastered the art of storytelling through song. During this unforgettable evening, Jackie will showcase her favourite classics, paying tribute to the iconic jazz artists who have shaped the genre.
Joining Jackie on stage is Aaron Michael, a singular jazz saxophonist, composer, and soloist. With an international gig and tour history, as well as leading his own jazz ensembles, Aaron’s talent knows no bounds. He is also currently Musical Director for the Australian Air Force band. Having him as a guest on our JMQ bandstand is always a treat that promises a truly exceptional performance.
