GIBSON TO OPEN FIRST PERMANENT U.S. ART GALLERY AT
GIBSON GARAGE MIAMI
“AMPLIFIED: ICONS OF MUSIC THROUGH THE LENS”
INAUGURAL EXHIBITION, FEATURES MORE THAN 30 ICONIC PHOTOGRAPHS,
PRESENTED IN PARTNERSHIP WITH GETTY IMAGES
Gibson Garage Miami will host a free public panel with local Miami Artists Solano and Nate Dee on Friday, September 11, to explore the intersection of music and street art.
Gibson, the iconic global instrument brand that has shaped the sounds of generations of musicians and music lovers for more than 130 years, will open the first permanent Gibson Gallery in the United States inside the new Gibson Garage Miami, opening on Thursday, September 10, 2026.
Located in Miami’s Wynwood Art District, the gallery will present rotating exhibitions exploring the relationship between music and visual culture. Its inaugural exhibition, Amplified: Icons of Music Through the Lens, is presented in partnership with Getty Images and features more than 30 photographs of influential musicians across rock, blues, pop, country, folk, jazz, reggae, and Americana. Exhibition-quality prints of select works will be available for purchase at Gibson Garage Miami.
The Gibson Gallery expands the Gibson Garage experience beyond instruments and live performance, bringing together music photography, fine art, street art, rare imagery, artist collaborations, and multidisciplinary installations. The gallery will also provide a platform for collaborations with photographers, painters, muralists, designers, musicians, and artists from Miami and around the world.
Gibson also commissioned two new large-scale murals from local Miami artists Solano and Nate Dee. Visitors can experience Solano’s mural inside the Gibson Garage Miami in the Kramer area, while Nate Dee’s bold outdoor work activates the building’s south façade at 2450 NW 2nd Avenue, further connecting the destination to the neighborhood’s internationally recognized street art culture.

“Music has always been bigger than the instrument itself. It shapes how we see, create, and connect,” says Mark Agnesi, Director of Brand Experience at Gibson. “The Gibson Gallery brings that larger story to life through iconic photography, original artwork, and collaborations with artists from Miami and around the world. There is no better place for it than the Gibson Garage Miami in Wynwood, where music and visual art are already part of the neighborhood’s identity.”
“AMPLIFIED: ICONS OF MUSIC THROUGH THE LENS” – Gibson Gallery Miami exhibition
Drawn from the Getty Images archive, Amplified: Icons of Music Through the Lens brings together portraits and performance photographs that capture the personalities, energy, and creative force behind some of music’s most enduring legacies.
The exhibition features images of Eddie Van Halen, Foo Fighters, Sheryl Crow, Bob Marley, Dolly Parton, Cream and Eric Clapton, Led Zeppelin, Guns N’ Roses, Tony Iommi, The Beatles, Madonna, Metallica, AC/DC, and Noel Gallagher.
It also traces the foundational influence of blues, jazz, and early rock through photographs of John Lee Hooker, B.B. King, Albert King, Wes Montgomery, Chuck Berry, Jimi Hendrix, and Sister Rosetta Tharpe. Additional works celebrate the songwriting and storytelling traditions of Bob Dylan, Woody Guthrie, Emmylou Harris, Neil Young, Tom Petty, Loretta Lynn, Bill Monroe, Elvis Presley, the Carter Family, and Johnny Cash.
Presented in a range of formats and scales, the exhibition moves from intimate portraits to commanding large-format images. Together, the photographs reveal how a fleeting performance, private moment, or decisive creative gesture can become inseparable from the way an artist is remembered.
“MUSIC AND MURALS”
Free Art Panel with Miami Artists Nate Dee and Solano to celebrate Music and Art, on Friday, September 11 at Gibson Garage Miami

To celebrate the gallery’s opening, Gibson Garage Miami will host a free public art panel on Friday, September 11, exploring the intersection of music, fine art, street art, and Wynwood’s creative culture.
Moderated by Mark Agnesi of Gibson, the panel will feature Miami muralists Nate Dee and Solano, as well as a special music guest.
Nate Dee and Solano will each display a brand-new hand-painted original art guitar. An Art Deco-inspired Gibson acoustic guitar will also be showcased, connecting Gibson’s instrument craftsmanship with Miami’s architectural and visual expression.
The conversation will examine how artists move between mediums, how a guitar can function as both an instrument and a canvas, and how Wynwood’s murals, studios, galleries, music, and public spaces influence one another.
Friday, September 11, 2026, at the Gibson Garage Miami:
- 4:00 p.m.: Public gallery viewing begins
- 5:00 p.m.: MUSIC AND MURALS Panel discussion
- Approximately 5:45 p.m.: Audience Q&A and photo opportunity
