‘Con C.Alma’ Sees Amana Melome’ Transform Reflection Into Rhythm on ‘Con C.Alma (Dub Reggae Remix)’

International singer-songwriter Amana Melome’ has unveiled her hypnotic new single, ‘Con C.Alma (Dub Reggae Remix).’ Blending conscious lyricism, warm dub rhythms, and sultry, soul-steeped vocals, the track offers a captivating preview of her upcoming project, RECALIBRATED: THE REMIXES, arriving 25 September 2026 via Perpetual Bloom Records.

Reimagined by Argentinian production duo Somos Animales, the single transforms one of the most introspective moments from her acclaimed 2026 album, Recalibration, into a groove-led celebration of self-trust, presence, and inner peace.

Fusing reggae’s meditative pulse with Melome’’s signature jazz-inflected phrasing, ‘Con C.Alma’ invites listeners to slow down and reconnect with themselves. The result is a sound that feels both timeless and refreshingly contemporary, confidently chilled, yet quietly empowering.

The creation of ‘Con C.Alma’ reflects Melome’’s nomadic creative lifestyle and collaborative approach.

“I wrote the lyrics and made a vocal sketch of the vibe I was feeling for the music,” Melome’ explains. “I sent the sketch to my producer Saverio Principini in Los Angeles to fine-tune and record with some amazing musicians, including acclaimed pianist Deron Johnson, in a Latin-jazz direction. I recorded the final vocals in Marbella, Spain, and for the remix, I reached out to Somos Animales in Argentina because I liked their vibes. I sent them a vocal sketch of the reggae feel I could already hear in my head, and they delivered with their staple Dub reggae style!”

Born in Germany, raised in Italy and the United States, and currently based in Spain, Melome’ brings a multicultural perspective to her artistry, seamlessly blurring the lines between soul, jazz, reggae, and global music traditions. Her heritage is deeply steeped in jazz history: Grandfather: Legendary bassist Jimmy Woode, who performed with Duke Ellington and collaborated with icons like Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong, Carmen McRae, and Sarah Vaughan. Grandmother: A celebrated professional jazz vocalist. Aunt: Shawnn Monteiro, a highly respected contemporary voice in jazz.

After stepping back from touring in recent years to embrace motherhood and visual art, Melome’ used that period of reflection to build the foundation for her Recalibration era. Drawing influence from visionaries like Erykah Badu, Nina Simone, and Esperanza Spalding, her current work continues to place mindfulness and authentic self-expression at the forefront.

Supported by a series of live European performances across Italy, Spain, and Portugal this October, Melome’ hopes ‘Con C.Alma’ serves as a gentle reminder to trust one’s intuition, embrace stillness, and dance through life in rhythm with oneself.
