Hello everyone. I hope you’re doing okay out there. The world is still falling apart, it’s a lot to carry, and it can feel hopeless. But I have hope that humanity will find peace and love; even if only in those small pockets of our beloved local communities.
Things remain up and down over here in the music biz. I try not to think about that too much, though. I choose instead to focus on making great art and music, and performing dynamic and exciting shows. And I am pumped to share that I have a few of them coming up.
But before I get into that, I have massive news! One of my big time dreams has come true. I have been selected to perform and showcase at the prestigious Classical:NEXT
music conference and festival in BERLIN in May this year. I have dreamt of taking my own music to stages in Europe and this is my first big step. It is epic and exciting and terrifying. As a self-managed and independent artist, opportunities like this are expensive, daunting and rare. But I’m doing everything I can to make it all happen.
Also, I haven’t announced it yet across social media, but I have decided to put on a bon voyage show on Friday 3rd May at my local venue, Tempo Rubato to perform the set I’ll be playing in Berlin, but also to raise some much-needed funds to support my trip. I hope you might come and be there! You can buy tickets right now by heading here. And please bring a friend or two so that I can really feel the love. If you’re not in Naarm/Melbourne, I will be organising some ways that you can support me online. Stay tuned for that!
I’ll have more to write shortly, but it has been a hectic start to the year performing in Groundhog Day the Musical. But I hope that I see you at one of my upcoming shows.
Hang in there, beauties.
Love Xani xx
