France
In the glass:
Bright pale straw with a watery hint of green around the rim.
Nose:
Pleasing aromas of Eureka lemon dominated the nose and followed through to the plate, filling the mouth with citrus and a little mineral.
Finish:
There was just a hint of creamy rounded Chardonnay on the nicely balanced lemon – lime finish.
The wine has a certain charm, it was smooth in the mouth offering a little complexity, although I would drink this wine sooner rather than later, best enjoyed while still young I think.
All in all, I found this Chardonnay to have a depth of fruit, finishing a little differently with a glimpse of almond on the back plate.
Easy to drink and offering value for money…
the Rot has set in.

The Food:
This wine would work well with any white meat that includes shellfish. I personally enjoyed it with creamy goat’s cheese topped with white anchovies on Vita Weat Crispbread.
As that was the extent of my culinary skills for the day.
