We’re ramping up for Christmas with THREE huge shows this weekend that we’re sure will light up your Santa hat. On Friday night, the up and energetic THINGS OF STONE & WOOD are performing their only Melbourne show for 2015, as a Christmas special. On Saturday MICK THOMAS (Weddings Parties Anything) will be performing his traditional Christmas show of 30 years with his band THE ROVING COMMISSION and very special guests. Then on Sunday evening at 5pm upstairs, the very last WINNEBAGO LOUNGE show for 2015 will rock out with RON PENO and guest MC JON VON GOES. Sun 7 Feb 2016, 3pm: AN INTIMATE AFTERNOON WITH KATE CEBERANO – After falling in love with MEMO in November 2015 KATE CEBERANO says she can’t wait to come back and do it all again in February 2016 and make it a regular show. Her shows will feature her hits including ‘Bedroom Eyes’, ‘Pash’, ‘Brave’ and much more, with some very special surprise guests singers… you just never know who they could be…

Sat 19 Dec 8pm: MICK THOMAS CHRISTMAS SHOW -It’s an annual gathering of friends and performers that herald Christmas time’s a-coming. A staple of Melbourne’s music scene for almost 30 years, the Christmas shows began when Mick Thomas fronted Weddings Parties Anything and has evolved into a tradition for Mick’s solo outfit featuring a rotating schedule of talented performers, and keeping the party alive with Mick’s unique mix of folk, roots and country. 20 Dec 2015 – RON PENO w/ MC JON VON GOES – “The great Ron Peno will grace the Winnebago Lounge stage with his band the Superstitions. It will be like the Winnebago Lounge Christmas party. I don’t think Ron will wear a santa hat. It’s just not a Ron thing to do. But you never know. He is a complex character. He’d make a bad Santa, way too complex. You never quite know what you’re going to get from Ron apart from a show that will have him giving his all. And the Superstitions are a very good band, a very good band indeed. I’m sure Ron knows how lucky he is to have such a band.” says JVG.
