    Presenting – BODY – Midsumma’s Major Project

Join us in this eNews where we feature leading international and local artists through BODY: a new major project from Midsumma Festival in partnership with Arts House. This project champions the notion that trans, gender diverse and intersex peoples should have sovereignty over their own bodies and amplifies their voices. Through BODY we will take you on a journey of performances, visual art, music events and talks. The heart of BODY takes place at Arts House across three days during the festival, with  satellite events at Arts Centre Melbourne and Incinerator Gallery.

We are also excited to share that Midsumma Festival 2019 is bringing you over 60 FREE events to increase accessibility to Victoria’s premier arts and culture festival, and get you into as many shows, events and venues as you can possibly squeeze in over 23 days. Search for free events on our website and make sure you still book where necessary to avoid missing out.

Before you go, check out our call-out for submissions for Queer Economies, an exhibition featuring gifts from YOU to someone that you are grateful to. We invite you to think creatively about who, or in honour of what, your gift may be for.

    Until next time,

    Karen Bryant
    Chief Executive
