Melbourne musician Aaron Schembri has just released his new single ‘ITS NOT GOODBYE’ and official film clip featuring some very familiar faces. Aaron regularly plays guitar and sings backing vocals with Ross Wilson, Renee Geyer and Normie Rowe. The single was at #6 on the iTunes Country Chart within two days of its release date, 23 December 2020.

“ITS NOT GOODBYE kind of just happened out of nowhere. In early April I realised the effect that the pandemic was having on the music industry and how brutal it was going to be. I was totally affected by it like so many musicians across the world. Once I had finished writing the song, I felt this “anthem” vibe to it,” Aaron said.

“The idea for the film clip came about once I began recording the song. I could envision exactly how I wanted the song perceived. Reflecting that we had nowhere to go, no gigs, no socialising and no idea as to how long this was all going to last.”

The Official Film Clip features Molly Meldrum, Ross Wilson (Daddy Cool / Mondo Rock), Anthony Field (The Wiggles), singer and guitarist Paul Norton, singer Wendy Stapleton, footballer and musician Russell Robertson (Melbourne Football Club) and Jayden Short (Richmond Football Club).

It was filmed on the empty streets of Melbourne and at iconic Melbourne venue MEMO Music Hall in St Kilda, where Aaron launched his debut album ‘City Lights’ to a full house in September 2019.
