MY POKER FACE

The Tweed District clubs, and much of the licensed club businesses in Australia are threatened by this attempt at nanna government at the behest of an Independent, Andrew Wilkie.

I have always been a great supporter of Indies, but it is a bit rich for an Indie to leverage his position in Parliament at the cost of thousands of average people.

Sure a lot of people blow their money on pokies, and such laws won’t stop these poor fools chucking their cash away on something! At least in clubs there are perceivable and measurable benefits for local communities.

To me it is just a need to look at the energy around the situation to know someone is going to lose no matter which way you go. I’d prefer it to be the mug punter, rather than those prepared to go out and earn a quid to support their families
