A transparent brick red in colour.
On the nose some savoy hints of cherry and red berry fruit.
In the mouth, tannins are there but not over the top.
A rather fruit-driven Nebbiolo, combined with earthy hints.
Wet stone makes an appearance every now and again followed by gentle acid on the finish.
A value for money Nebbiolo and a good place to start your journey into this grape style.
I enjoyed this wine with BBQ lamb back straps with mashed potatoes and pan-fried onions.
The acid cuts through the charred meat and onions the mash gives a creamy finish to the mouth.
Like a lot of Italians and Europeans in general they require food to bring the best out of the wine.
