Banshee Vault Asylum and Orthotyp-a Split Album Launch

April 27 @ 5:30 pm - 8:30 pm AEST

Join us for a night at Kepk as we celebrate the launch of the split album featuring Banshee Vault Asylum’s (BVA) ‘Ganser Mule’ and Orthotyp-a’s ‘Dasein’.
‘Ganser Mule’ navigates the dynamic interplay between unbridled noise, traditional rock idioms and deep listening.
‘Dasein’ has been described by Brisbane experimental icon, Lawrence English, as “explor the edges of sampling and editing to uncover new potentials within the auditory realm. This work pays homage to the pioneering spirit of Brion Gysin and William Burroughs, propelling their cut-up techniques into new, uncharted territories of sound design”.
In keeping with the spirit of the albums, our launch event will foster a unique community experience by bringing Brisbane’s finest musicians together for a night dedicated to improvised collaboration. The evening will unfold through a series of curated performances, showcasing the spontaneity and creativity of live collaboration.
This show will also debut digital artworks by Orthotyp-a (Paul Young). Celebrate with us as we launch these albums on Hyperchaos Tapes.
