In the glass a dark brick red with a glimpse of youth as you swirl the wine.
On the nose the wine is showing some dusty notes of mature red fruit, supported by layers of young fruit with faint cherry aromas.
In the mouth everything I expect from a mature Pinot pleasing tannins, softer acid. The fruit showing a glimpse of youth then fading gracefully with a hint of bay leaf and a dry savoury lick that was pleasing to say the least.
the Rot has set in.

I enjoyed this wine with a mixed mushroom pasta in a light sweet tomato and garlic base – not cream and the obligatory crusty bread.
