Maya Azucena, award-winning singer-songwriter, humanitarian and cultural ambassador from Brooklyn returned a few weeks ago with a new EP titled “I Am Enough”. This EP composed of 6 tracks stands as a passionate, eloquent, and infectiously joyous affirmation of self-worth and acceptance. It also serves as a refutation of anybody, or anything seeking to devalue people or break their spirits.
The singer uses her music to shed light on important topics and this new EP is no exception. The title track “I Am Enough” resonates from an American history perspective and aims to celebrate the undermined, under-recognized contributions of her American ancestors and unsung heroes of Today, the message also reflects a universal story of overcoming self-doubt and burden of doubt from others, to step into a fully-accepted, empowered version of ourselves.

The multi-talented artist gifted us with 6 valuable anthems. All of the songs bring a different vibe, allowing everyone to pick a favorite.
Azucena doesn’t only shine in the music scene. Like The High Priestess of Soul, Maya has a deep passion for social justice and humanitarian causes, with a particular focus on issues dealing with women’s and youth empowerment, plus combatting domestic and sexual violence. For her work on these issues, she has received awards, including a proclamation from the U.S. House of Representatives for producing Hope Night, an awareness-building event held during Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
