Spain – $155.00
Nose:
At first, there was fresh fruit, with a chalky hint of red apples. Then dried white flowers, kicked in with a slight herbal note.
Mouth:
Ripe white fruit, hints of melons, and herbal notes flowed through from the nose.
Nice acid, soft mineral. Light and fresh with savoury hints finishing with a nice earthy-savoury richness, gentle finish. It’s really a stand-out Palomino.
Question – Palomino is a grape variety more commonly used in Australia in lesser white wines, and is used in the production of Sherry. So is this wine Worth $155.00?
Answer – I have never tasted a Palomino of this quality before and will use this wine as a benchmark for quality Palomino from this day forward.
