NAIDOC WEEK – AUDREY NAPANANGKA is the story of a modern blended family – First Nations woman Audrey and her Sicilian partner Santo – negotiating across cultures as they try to keep their family together.

The intimate footage of this steadfast couple – filmed over 10 years in Mparntwe (Alice Springs) and Audrey’s Warlpiri homelands – provides unique insights into a family in Australia today.

SLASHER SIRENS: A BLOODY GIN + FILM FESTIVAL! Over two weeks, we screen four campy, vibrant slasher features. This week is the culty homage to technicolour melodramas THE LOVE WITCH. And the poorly marketed at the time of release, despite being excellent and smart and heaps of fun, JENNIFER’S BODY.

NAIDOC WEEK – THE NEW BOY is set in 1940s Australia, the film depicts the mesmeric story of a 9-year-old Aboriginal orphan boy who arrives in the dead of night at a remote monastery run by a renegade nun, CATE BLANCHETT.

NAIDOC WEEK – THE LAST DAUGHTER is a  poignant documentary co-directed by and featuring Wiradjuri woman Brenda Matthews on a journey to find her white family – and uncover the truth about her abduction.

Mick created TAGG - The Alternative Gig Guide in 1979 with Helmut Katterl, the world's first real Street Magazine. He had been involved with his fathers publishing business, Toorak Times and associated publications since 1972.  Mick was also involved in Melbourne's music scene for a number of years opening venues, discovering and managing bands and providing information and support for the industry. Mick has also created a number of local festivals and is involved in not for profit and supporting local charities.
